My BC-Blenny is Killing my Coco Worm

The bi-color Blenny is a long time resident of the Prodigal Cube and as well as the Coco worm, Lately though, the blenny is giving the coco worm a haircut- a very crop one that is.


I posted a shoutout in facebook until my ReefingBud chimed that the blenny needs a home. He suggested to drill holes in the liverock which sounds very complicated with all the coral epoxied.

Though, I agreed with the blenny looking for a place he wants to call home. I'm not sold out to the idea of removing the scape just to drill holes. I was thinking of getting a PVC but i think it would look un-natural with the PVC sticking out. And then the Idea hit me: Share it! so, I broke the tube into halves. One for the Blenny and one for the Worm.

Oh my! look at this Technology.. it's mind blowing. Could we perhaps incorporate this to our Aquarium controllers like the Aquatronica, Neptune's or Digital Aquatics talking (sending the info) to the surface and/or perhaps we are on our work desks yet we can fully control our tank.

another Wrasse from poppe. I don't know what is the name though but I think another of the Oxycheilinus Family. Let us hope somebody can buy import this fish from Cebu.

Husbandry:

I am spot feeding this Gorg at least twice a week. I find it an easy coral to take care, not needing any other special requirement except food. When it is not fed for a week, some tissue will recede but will immediately grow back in three days when given food. As with other seafan, the Diodogorgia must be in a good flow.

They readily accept food. I feed mine with homemade mush, frozen daphnia, soak with tank water freeze-dried cyclopeze and the PolyLab's reef-roids alternately.

That looks like their own original design. Not a copy of famous brand. yar yar yar.... Let's wait and see until one user could post how this baby works. By the looks of it, the neck appears small.

Red Head Reef Octopus

I was browsing some site till I stumbled a Red Head Reef Octopus. Look at Her. Don't you think shes beautiful.




And also it does look like it is sporting a different pump aside from the companies very own OTP. I'm wondering why japanese hobbyist gets a different one. Here's a schematic of the skimmer.




The body seems the same to other ReefOcto's 2009 model- CONED, but the the bubble plate is different. This Red Head Beauty comes in Five different sizes.

all I know about Eshopps is it's a relatively new comer on aquarium equipments making name about their version of Cone Skimmers. So, what's the big deal? ----> their cone skimmer are much cheaper comparing to other cone skimmers availabale in the market. They first introduce their first "Snow Cone" march this year and recently the "S-150"

DIY Cone Skimmer

I stumbled upon this site base in Hongkong. Amaze by the DIY'er skill in making a topnotch Cone Skimmer the likes of ATB and/or Bubble King. A supermoderator of the said site; QQ > his username posted this DIY in July 26 2009.

I was blowned with the over-all looks of his DIY. NOT a DIY-look for me it seems. Anyway, QQ has more of his test on this build but since I don't understand mandarin and i have no access to the forum I could not tell you how it is performance wise. What I understand scanning on his thread is that the maxi-jet pump is not powerful enough to get a goo skimmate instead he had it running with Aquabee and experimenting with Eheim too.
